The VOICETRUST Mobile Suite

And for cell phone customers who have entered the wrong PIN number three times in a row and need the PUK, VOICETRUST saves them time by replacing the procedure of a dispatch per mail with a faster solution.

It has probably happened to most of us at least once: if you accidentally enter a wrong PIN number for your mobile device three times in a row, your SIM card is locked so that no phone calls can be made.

The Personal Unblocking Key, PUK in short, is usually not at hand. So the customer has only one way to solve the problem: take another phone, call his/her mobile network operator and ask for the PUK. Most likely, the caller has to answer a number of questions before being told that, due to security reasons, the PUK can only be sent by mail. Days pass in which the customer does not generate any turnover.

VOICETRUST has a simple solution for mobile network services that saves money and improves convenience for the customer.

  • When new contracts are concluded, customers are encouraged to register their voice by phone in order to activate their SIM card. They receive the PIN at the end of the phone call, so mailing is no longer necessary.
  • Once a customer needs the PUK, all he/she needs to do is contact the service hotline where the customer’s identity is verified via voice authentication.
  • The server reads out the PUK to the verified owner of the cell phone.
  • A series of further value-added services can be offered once a customer makes use of voice authentication, e.g. with regard to inbound calls in call centers or a variety of future transactions.

Desktop Users
Sign into the company network or reset your password with your voice.
Credit Card and Online Banking Customers
Bank customers wish for maximum flexibility and security. So far, these have been contradictory goals, especially in online banking or the use of credit cards.
Owners of PDAs and Cell Phones
Cell phones and PDAs have basically become mobile offices. Data stored on them has to be secured.
Callers
True enough, since the launch of ISDN and digital mobile networks it is possible to see the caller ID on your display. But this is not the caller’s identity!
