One third of the calls to companies’ in-house IT hotlines are made because employees have locked themselves out of the system. But this procedure can be fully automated with the help of voice authentication.
Instead of remembering a series of passwords for various corporate applications the user can initiate the authentication with a user ID and the own voice in a comfortable and secure way.
Administration of smartcards, e.g. PIN reset, locking/unlocking a smartcard or temporarily allowing the user to work without smartcard needs a lot of attention of the service staff because of security reasons. Self-service for the user on the desktop is not possible as in such cases the computer is as locked as the smartcard is. The user can then use the self-service via phone which is both easy and safe.
For telecommuting or temporary email access: More and more employees register in corporate networks as remote access users. In order to prevent this from becoming a security risk, we have combined the dial-in / log-on with voice recognition. There is no need for expensive hardware tokens.
